Funeral services for Mrs Albert Green held in Tripoli
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Rettig Funeral Home Tripoli for Mrs Albert Green 48 of rural Tripoli who died of an apparent heart attack Saturday in Mercy hospital Waverly. Rev W D Weidler conducted the service and burial was in Fairview cemetery Cedar Falls. She was born May 25 1919 in Cedar Falls daughter of Howard and Bess Wright. She married Oct 18 1935 in Weatherford Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband two children a son Tom 16 and a daughter Debra 15 at home her mother Mrs H O Wright Cedar Falls three sisters Mrs Joe Olejniczak Charles City Mrs Stanley Brown and Mrs Irvin Baldwin both of Cedar Falls and two brothers Claire of Waverly and Gail of Janesville.

A large Tuesday evening crowd watched the twelfth annual Tripoli Harvest Festival climax on July 17 and 18. Prizes totaling over 700 dollars were awarded, sponsored by the Tripoli Commercial Club, with activities including a kiddie parade, flower show, rides, and free acts by Royal United Shows. THS band performed before the Tuesday acts and the sweepstakes trophy went to Women's Fellowship of Faith United Church of Christ for best overall flower arrangement. The full division winners feature many entries from local circles and churches.
