Medicare chiropractic coverage limited under conditions
The Social Security district manager in Waterloo explains starting July 1 Medicare will cover limited chiropractic services. Only licensed chiropractors meeting federal standards are eligible, and payments cover manual spine manipulation for subluxation demonstrated by X ray. No other chiropractic services or diagnostic X rays are paid. Beneficiaries should contact their Social Security office with questions.
