Tripoli Plans July Harvest Festival With Rides and Prizes
Tripoli businessmen promote the fourteenth annual harvest festival for July 14 and 15. Activities include kiddie rides with a chance to win a 26 inch bicycle, a kiddie parade, free Royal United Shows acts, an antique showing, a chuckwagon meal, and a drawing for $120 in merchandise prizes. Local bands perform and prize drawings run throughout the event.

The Tripoli area promotes a golf course and clubhouse for residents as final plans gain approval from the Farm Administration. Bids will be opened July in Tripoli Town Hall at 7 30 p m for clubhouse electrical plumbing heating and golf course work with plans on file at Rettig Furniture. A $20 bid deposit and 5 percent certified bank draft accompany proposals. Members urged to pay pledges on stock shares sold for 100 each, with 10 deposited at signing and the remainder due on request.

The Iowa Conservation Commission in Des Moines approved a muskellunge season for Clear Lake East Okoboji and West Okoboji. The season runs July 1 to November 30 this year and May 15 to November 30 in future years. Anglers may keep one muskellunge per day measuring at least 30 inches. Smaller muskies illegal. Muskies were introduced in 1960 and are among the largest North American game fish.

Reapportionment Plan Challenged By Iowa Democrats
Iowa Democrats filed suit in the Iowa Supreme Court challenging the reapportionment plan adopted by the 1969 legislature.
