Meyer Platte reunion at Readlyn park draws thirty
The Meyer Platte reunion at Readlyn park drew about 30 attendees Sunday afternoon including Mr and Mrs Arnold Platte and LeRoy Platte plus Fred Platte. The 1953 committee will be Elmer Platte of Cedar Falls and Harley Meyer of Oelwein. LeRoy Platte and Rudolph Ludwig aided with haying at local homes during the week. Walter Sauerbrei and Herman Erhardt hosted visits. Wendell Westendorf is ill with mumps in Readlyn.

Busy-Bees 4-H Club Holds June Workshop Meeting
The Busy-Bees girls 4-H club met at Mrs. Everett Engle’s home for a workshop. Fourteen members and one visitor attended as Carol Blume spoke on furniture and room fit.
