Farm incomes may slip from 1972 record
Bremer County Extension Director Larry Stoltenberg notes 1973 farm incomes likely rise 10 to 12 percent nationally but may not match 1972. Bob Wisner of Iowa State University cites smaller cattle and hog profits and a possible crop income dip, though eggs and dairy may hold or improve. Weather and export demand could keep prices above last year into summer, though not as strong as December.
