Crippled Children Society Names Bremer County Chairman
Mrs. Bruce E. Spurrier of Waverly is appointed county chairman of the Bremer county chapter of the Town Society for Crippled Children and Adults Inc. She will coordinate service programs, liaise with the state society, and recruit volunteers for case service Easter seal campaign Camp Sunnyside and publicity efforts. Bremer county groups aiding her include the Waverly Jaycee Ettes Sumner Jaycee Ettes and Camp Sunnyside Youth Council.

Farm Publication Poll Shows Farmer Mood Low
The Wallaces Farmer conducted a poll on how well farmers are doing. Only 17 percent thought farmers were getting along fairly well. Optimists were strong Democrats and those over 65, while pessimists were mainly NFO members. Four percent said they are doing well and 64 percent said incomes are too low for a good living. Leader ads bring results.
