Franchise to erect and operate electric transmission line in Bremer County Iowa
Notice from the Iowa State Commerce Commission announces a petition by Interstate Power to construct and maintain a 13,800 volt three phase transmission line over public and private lands in Bremer County Iowa. The hearing is set for September 21, 1960 at Des Moines with eminent domain rights requested for private easements where voluntary rights are unavailable. Objections must be filed in triplicate five days before the hearing. The commission urges representation by empowered counsel.

Waverly Iowa August 15 1960 the Bremer County Board of Supervisors met in regular adjourned session at the court house at 10:00 AM. The budget hearing concluded with general 60000 court expense 10000 poor 40000 state institution 73000 county mental health 22500 soldiers relief 18000 county fair and 4 H club 9300 county bonds and interest 26288 library contract 7800 county conservation 10000 secondary road 282000 road clearing 17500 and all were adopted. The board vacated the road named in the July 18 resolution after no objections. Bids on bridges set for September 6 1960 at 10:00 AM.
