At a day night gathering in Tripoli a meeting of the Tripoli Corporation was held with eighty shares present in person or by proxy. Maturity Clinic Helps Kindergarten Prospects
The Maturity Clinic ran 12th through 16th for 48 kindergarten registrants for the 1971-72 year. Staff evaluated vision, hearing, speech and maturity to tailor next year's curriculum and arrange parent conferences. The Bremer County Home hosted leaders of county volunteer groups to plan an expanded program of occupational and recreational activities for residents. A steering committee will organize volunteers to address idle hours and loneliness with supervised sewing crafts and indoor and outdoor activities. Tripoli Trackmen Win Triangular Meet at Sumner
Tripoli edged Sumner 82 to 77 with Fayette at 29 to win the Sumner triangular track meet. Mike LaCoste and Willis Hildebrandt set two school records. Hildebrandt also set a long jump mark at 20 82 inches while LaCoste posted records in the 120 highs and 120 lows. The Panthers won nine events led by Hildebrandt in the 180 low hurdles and the 100 yard dash and the Mile Relay team.
