Hawthorne named dean of Tri-State engineering school
Dr Quintin J Hawthorne appointed dean of the School of Engineering at Tri State College succeeding Dr R Wayne Gilchrist who resigns. Gilchrist to Clemson University as electrical engineering professor. Gilchrist served Tri State since 1947, Hawthorne since 1946 and now doubles as Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering chair.
