Trojans End Winning Season With Heart Opposed By Tech Warriors
The Trojans finish their first winning season under coach Herb Stoerr after a 6-4 loss to Indiana Tech. Tom Skaper nets three goals, Ahmet Borecki six, and Butch Gardner two as Don Bentz and Mike Orekago anchor defense. The standout game was vs Wayne Sports Club, held scoreless first half but overcome 7-2. Next year the team joins the Mid Central Conference with possible Notre Dame game.

TSC Runners Take Second at Mid-Central Conference Meet
Coach Mark Peterman led six runners to Fort Wayne for the Mid-Central Conference cross country meet on Oct. 29. Concordia Senior College won with 25 points as Tri-State came in second at 41 and Indiana Tech at 67. Key performers included Pat Cline and Jon Grill, with Cline finishing second overall and Grill close behind in third.

The Tri-State Sports Car Club held its first event of the year on Sunday October 9 with seven teen entrants in four classes. Winners were Ken Schmidt in a 1959 Isetta 1 39.2 Class II Dave Grubb in a 1100 cc 1963 Sprite 1 33.0 Class III Don Martin in a Volvo Sedan 1 43.0 Class IV Ken Schmidt in a 1962 Studebaker Lark 1 41.2. The next event, a Novice Rally, is planned for October 29 as part of Fall Festival activities. The club meets October 27 at 7 00 p.m. in room 613.
