Hendry Hotel Fire Highlighted City Prep and Fire Response
The Hendry Hotel blaze in Angora on Sunday caused an estimated 50 000 in damage but was limited by pre planning and the Angora Fire Department's know how. Fire Chief Bill Goodwin credited volunteers with preventing greater damage as firefighters fought on the second and third floors and used an Auburn aerial ladder truck to reach the attic area. 75 firemen, seven trucks, and multiple hose lines battled the flame with one resident and one fireman injured.
