Richard Griffis a former instructor in the Civil Engineering Department and now Campus Engineer in charge of construction says work on the new science building will start again as soon as the weather permits. The Wermuth Construction Company, Fort Wayne Indiana, has begun excavation and poured 18 footings in the federally financed 2.5 million dollar project. About 3,000 cubic yards of concrete are expected to be used in footings, grade beams, and a retaining wall on the building's south side. The general contractor has 77 weeks and one day to complete the work, with the building due for use in June 1967.
