The Martins previously ran Martin's Tavern and Cafe for over 14 years until selling to the Quackenbushes in 1964. Don and Kenneth Gates ran it after Ira Gates died. The Moores completely renovated the building adding a large north addition seating 70, with new dining areas, kitchen, restrooms, and updated exterior siding and a new north entrance.
