A long critique of county commissioners faults and party bias ends with praise for Montana volunteers returning from the war. The piece denounces ignorant leadership, urges honesty and capability, and foresees a statewide celebration for the soldiers in Butte Helena and other towns as they are welcomed home with joy.
On or about September 15 a bay horse with a white facial stripe and two white feet came to the premises. It is saddle marked and shod, about 1150 pounds, branded SOR on the left shoulder. Owner R Omar Somerville of Canton Montana is to prove property, pay advertising and keeping costs, and take the horse.
Wilson Fletcher declares he expended 100 dollars for labor and improvements on the Bland quartz lode mining claim in Broadwater county Montana for 1898. He demands repayment of fifty dollars within ninety days or your right to the claim will vest in him by operation of law. First publication September 21, 1899. Odell W. McMonnell of Helena filed a mining patent application under the mining laws for the Primrose quartz lode mining claim in Broadwater County Montana. The claim Survey No. 5690 sits in Park District, describing corner benchmarks and measurements across several bearings and distances totaling 512 acres with adjoining claims Crown Hill lode and Modoc Chief lode nearby. First publication is Sept. 28, 185%.
Local price ad for Dodge's sore throat cure sold by Matthews' Pharmacy Townsend Montana. Claims third dose cures with agreeable taste and internal use. Postpaid bottle offered for 50 cents if druggist lacks product.
