Chicago dispatch reports Kate Field directed in her will that her body be cremated and ashes with a gold ring be placed in an urn atop her parents’ coffins in Mount Auburn Cemetery Cambridge. H. H. Kohlsaat arranged burial actions, coordinating cremation in Honolulu if possible or shipping remains via San Francisco to Boston for interment.

In Glencoe Minnesota on September 6 the accused Darman Musgrove and H A Dingmars were found guilty of murder in the second degree. A masked mob hanged them from a bridge over Buffalo Creek. Jailer Edward Adell and guard Hopes witnessed the mob in black masks. An inquest will locate the mob.
