States Land Office Helena reports a July 7 classification of lands under an 1895 act for Montana Idaho, listing mineral and non mineral parcels in townships 4 N to 10 N and ranges in the Northern Pacific grant. The document describes six mineral descriptions and several non mineral areas, with a sixty day protest period and notice that classifications become final on Secretary of the Interior approval.
Bila Knowles Haske of Elena Montana filed Mining Application No 6115 UC for 11.25 acres in unorganized Broadwater County adjoining Montana Regent unsurveyed on the north. The claim located in German District within Township 1 North Range 2 West and includes 410.6 feet of surface width with 100 linear feet of vein bearing gold and other metals. First publication October 4 1860 and posted October 4 with reference to survey No S167 and location book.
Charles D W Smith of Hinsdale Montana files an application for a 4.16 acre placer mining patent in Park unorganized district Water County Montana. The claim is Survey No 5653 in Township 6 North Range 1 West with boundary notes and record in Broadwater County Townsend. Adjoining claims include Duncan Placer and Saint Louis Placer. George D Greene registers the claim. First publication October 19 1899.
