Heroic Lifeboat Deeds At Peel Headland In 1889
In Peel Isle of Man during a October 1889 gale a Norwegian ship drifted toward Contrary head. The Peel lifeboat crew rescued all twenty two aboard after the captain signaled for twenty two and the deck was crowded. One disabled man was helped aboard and all were landed safely.
