Tramp shoots Danish family matriarch near Cheney
A cowardly shooting occurred Wednesday night at a farmhouse four miles northwest of Cheney in Spokane county. Mrs. Aspland, 45, was fired upon and killed. her husband and four children, Danish workers with solid reputations, live on the farm. The suspected shooter is George Webster, described as a tramp.

Fire on steamer leaves sixteen dead near Delaware capes
