Town Ordinance Defines Nuisances in Townsend
Townsend enacts a comprehensive nuisance ordinance listing penalties for filthy animal enclosures foul drains and decaying matter. It also bans prostitution barbed wire safety issues and street obstructions with fines from 1 to 100 dollars and daily penalties for continuance. The measure requires notice before conviction and allows abatement by the town marshal.
