A 19th century bridge between faith and science notes how unseen things are evidenced by visible acts. The piece cites Psalm 139 and Romans to claim revelation through creation, highlighting recent photography through opaque matter as proof of divine power. John Smart, co owner in the Condor quartz lode at Eureka gulch Jefferson County Montana, claims to have spent 10000 on labor and improvements through 1995 to hold the claim. If J A Collins and heirs fail to contribute within ninety days after publication, their interest may become the property of the subscriber under U S statutes. First publication February 6 1896.
Meter or Mining Company led by secretary John W. Eddy filed for patent under mining laws for 1500 feet each of Meteor and Star of the West lode claims in unsurveyed Jefferson County Montana. Surveys 4744 and 4745 cover 41.24 acres total with posting in October 1895. Adjoining claimants are listed as unknown. W E Cox, Register, published February 20, 1896.
United States Land Office in Helena announces a public sale on March 28 at 19 oclock for Lots 6 and 7, Section 12, Township 8 North Range 1 West. Adverse claimants must file in the land office by that date or lose rights. Jeremiah Collins is the receiver.
