Sugar Beet Cultivation Gains Interest in Montana Valley
The culture of the sugar beet attracts attention among Montana agriculturists. Beets grown from seed provided by Julius Berg yielded well with care, but no chemical tests were done to gauge Missouri valley suitability. Local seed supplies are offered by R H Kleinschmidt of Helena and Berg, at about twenty five cents per pound, with potential factory investment if trials prove profitable.
