From George Welcome of Ilort we learn a heavy wind storm at the lake town Saturday felled a new two and a half story structure Mr Welcome was erecting. Carpenters on the roof escaped but John Walker of this city was bruised after a fall. Welcome began a 63 by 30 foot replacement this week.

Judge McHattan Delays Ruling in Davis Will Case

Grand Central Station to be Used as World’s Fair Hotel

The Grand Central Station at Harrison Street and Fifth Avenue Chicago will host a hotel on the Third Fourth and Sixth Floors under the European plan. It offers 125 to 200 rooms with hot and cold water electric lights and steam heat. Managed by T C Clifford the hotel opens May 1893 serving through service to the World’s Fair via the Northern Pacific Wisconsin Central line.

Idaho Tragedy Involving Officer Shoots Mike Sullivan

Mike Sullivan, long time Idaho resident, was shot and killed last week after reportedly resisting an officer who demanded the surrender of his weapons. The shooting occurred on a Rexford street after a race day dispute, leaving a widow and six children. His parents and sister traveled to Idaho for the funeral, which was later disinterred for viewing.
