War in Manila insurgents clash as united forces gain
Manila reports show insurgents launched general engagement on Feb 5 with the American army and navy repelling attacks and advancing. Otis notes 20,000 insurgents near Manila with Krupp guns, many Mausers, and heavy casualties on both sides.
