Death of Patrick McKnight Pioneer of Montana
Patrick McKnight aged 66 died at his Townsend home of pneumonia. A native of County Clare Ireland he arrived in Virginia City in 1863 and became a prominent Montana pioneer and businessman. He leaves six children including William McKnight Meagher county sheriff. A dime social and prayer conference plans are noted along with a year end ball by the Jolly Firemen and local property bonds.
