In Camp Miles a 6 year old boy recalls J A Haukenberry a former soldier in the Ist Corps Thirty third Dimods Infantry who walked from Clay Center to Topeka for a reunion after exhausting pension funds. He left ten days ago with a colored boy and traveled by farm houses at night, sleeping in haylofts. Mrs Haukenberry arrived with friends from Clay Center.
