Dewey Seen Aboard Olympia In Atlantic Highlands Welcome

Admiral Dewey was visible on the Olympia from the Atlantic Highlands as boats of all kinds escorted the warship during its bay progress. A salute from Forts Wadsworth and Hamilton opened the ceremony, with the Chicago also passing in and saluting. Deputy and state officials joined family members aboard the Olympia while Roosevelt and Georgia volunteers prepared for a New York reception.

Commander Delayed. Gen Shaw Arrives In Topeka

National Commander Albert D Shaw of the GARL arrived in Topeka over the Rock Island at 11 o'clock Tuesday. The 014 soldiers expected him as early as Monday but trains were crowded.
