Captain Caraway Returns to Army Life at Barracks
Harold Begbie narrates Captain Caraway's return to military life after a bomb blasts at home. He travels from London to a gray barrack life, fearing ridicule over aired beds, while his wife Jane prays for his safety. In the barracks he finds companionship with Colonel Watt, Major Bullen, and Captain Simmonds, and reassures Jane with a loving letter promising to endure the dash of service.
