A Post Dispatch dispatch reports Haydon, a 24 year old Black man, was captured with authorities near Fayette after a fatal confrontation over a craps game at a Black festival. Andrew Woods, a White man, was killed when Haydon was struck and Woods retorted with a shot. Tom Haydon, accused brother, was thought to have fired before the mob overtook officers.
