Four Grandchildren Die in Nyack House Fire
In Nyack New York on October 22 four grandchildren of Methodist Bishop William Taylor died in a South Nyack home fire. Two other children escaped by jumping from a window while two more perished. A laborer and several others were badly burned or seriously injured. The fire occurred after Mrs Taylor awoke to smoke and the family attempted to flee through the stairs, the house recently built and decorated. Funeral services for the burned children were held at St Pauls ME church with Reverend Mr Taylor officiating.
