The Topeka branch continued meetings at the First Methodist Church with communion led by Tshop Ninde. Secretary Mrs. B. E. Madison reported a cyubberwhip of 67s and Treasurer Mrs. A. M. Mrs Mary J Spencer of Big Springs Douglas counts celebrates her seventy six birthday in October. She and husband moved from Kentucky to his State in 1857 and settled on the family place. A freight engine collided with a passenger train in the Omaha yards near Locust Street at 10 am, splitting the dining car Delmonica.
