The county attorney Hungate plans to call sixty potential witnesses in gambling cases. He stated gamblers sought to pay back losses to quiet witnesses, while several defendants face a preliminary hearing in city court next Friday.
John F. Ream of the United Mine Workers telegraphed John Mitchell delaying his Trinidad trip to December 2 if not hindered by sickness.
