The weapon discharged while transferring change from his pocket to a wallet, wounding him as his party prepared to leave for Osta on the Burlington train. He was taken to the Pacific House, then to Osworth hospital, with expectations of a week’s stay.

W. E. White, a junior employee at C. Johnaue’s fur store, dropped a solid shot ball weighing about forty pounds. It struck his right foot, crushing it badly but doctors say amputation is not needed. The accident occurred this morning as he handled the heavy projectile.
