A farmer, William Smale, was killed in his kitchen by a shotgun blast through a window. The weapon was loaded with goose shot and telephone lines were cut to hinder help. Sheriff reports no robbery motive. suspicion falls on a son in law, but no arrests made as trackers pursue the suspect.
