At Wichita May 8 the Kansas federation held sessions finalizing adjournment and naming new and retiring officers and committees. Delegates from Leavenworth Topeka Wichita and others discussed presidency, district representation, and committee appointments with tensions over who will lead standing committees and future Biennial meetings in St Louis.
Mr and Mrs J L Chapman of Wamog celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary at home with relatives from Wakoune ra county Pavilion Alma and Topeka. Guests recall their long marriage, move plans, and a banquet and surprise party hosted by the Grand Army post. Mr Chapman, English-born, served in the Civil War with the Fourteenth New York.
