Washington March 11 It was announced at weather bureau that preliminary arrangements are made to establish river service for Kansas covering Kaw Kansas and Arkansas tributaries with stations at Manhattan Abilene Topeka Concordia Salina and towns on Stoky Hill and Solomon river under Patrick Connor Kansas City station Two stations will be at Neosho under Ft Smith Arkansas direction, with new stations at Dodge City and Wichita on the Arkansas. Appropriation available July.

Lincoln Neb March 15 Lancaster county primaries show overwhelming support for Congressman E J Burkett for United States senator to succeed C H Dietrich. The result practically assures Harkett's election as other counties pledged support to Kim and others await this county action. The Republican state convention to be held May 38 will select a Senatorial candidate.
Ewing Herbert arrived in Topeka and fled the nomination in the First senatorial district. Papers signed by J.2, Hiawatha’s disposer as chairman and Reasoner of Powhattan as secretary. In Hands of Insurgent Washington March 16 Powell reports from San Don Pamana say insurgents hold. Foster Sunane Silety asks county to tax 09 Kanes Avenue, once granted to Rissay by Judge C Foster for business use.

The dispute centers on interpretations of 1860 pension rules and the Raum rulings, with Miller and Hitchcock opposing Ware. The president reportedly supports a service pension bill, while Senate leaders resist action, prompting talk that Ware’s departure could shift policy and appointments.
The State Journal reports Mr Ware spoke with the president at the White House but could not be interviewed. Officials say the talks concern purely internal matters and no offer or target was made. The report is widely credited locally.
