Inquest Opens Over Bohne Death After Deputy Shooting
In St Louis on June 14 the inquest into the death of Frererck Bohne aged about 65 after being shot by a deputy sheriff at 1724 North Tenth Street began. Coroner Lisyd delayed proceedings to Friday while deputies search for Deputy Sheriff Robert E. Marsh, the man accused of firing. Autopsy reports four bullet wounds to the head as witnesses describe a crowd at the car and deputies trying to disperse them. Witnesses recall a deputy threatening to make an example of protesters and a doorway shooting as Bohne was at the gate, with no weapon found on the body.
