Cornelia Baxter, born in Knox County, Tennessee, rose to prominence in Denver society and was noted for beauty and social influence.
San rancies Jane T ougn Devin son of Liopd Tevis, heir to a vast estate, died in Yokohama at about 1 0 years old after heart trouble suspected to follow a severe mile race at Harvard. He left a daughter with his married wife, daughter of Judie Boult. The Tevis family, tied to Denver society, recently married to ex Governor Baxter’s widow, had a country home near Monterey.
A Moroccan embassy of 29 members including two wives arrived at Portsmouth Pier for a royal reception.
