Horrific lynching in Golden follows brutal crime
In Golden Colorado on June 2 Alexander McCurdy who mutilated his step brother Charles Berry last winter was dragged from the jail by twenty men and lynched. His body was suspended at the Lakewood trestle over Clear Creek and cut down at dawn. Jailer Kerr and others attempted arrests of suspects as the mob dispersed after the inquest began. Berry recovered from his injuries.

Turner Festivities Begins as Turners Gather in City
