Five hundred from Cleveland gathered in Canton on July 15 to honor President McKinley. A Cleveland women's brass band led the procession to his home amid crowds on the grounds. Mrs Elroy Avery spoke from a chair praising Cleveland and American industry while Governor McKinley thanked the women for their gracious message and support.
Preparations for the thirteenth G A R encampment in Kaul Minnesota are moving quickly with more than 100 reenactments arranged. Commodore Kitteast Relected is head of the committee, army design motifs will decorate parks, and visiting reporters will be accommodated. Local high school students have formed an information brigade to guide visitors.
The Populist convention in Arkansas convened at Glenwood Park at 10 this morning with full county representation. J. M.
