Chicago July 6 Bland camp amid tepid crowd as attack on Bland appears in The Blele Henry F Donavan’s Organ claims Bland would widen sectional prejudice. Article says Democrats push northern or western ticket and warn southern bloc would back Bland from Nebraska Ohio Indiana or Illinois.
Chicago July 6 Congressman Shafroth of Colorado commented on the political climate noting the silver issue dominates, risking fusion between the Democratic and People's parties. He warned that endorsing a Democratic nominee could fracture the People's party and empower Republican silver forces, urging alignment to avoid weakening the silver cause.
The meeting opened with Satnav Brone presiding. Stackhouse of the Fizat district offered testimony as a federal official. Resolution urged parity maintenance and currency at par with redemption. The assembly debated armament and funding, Stackhouse speaking briefly while Wherry and others pressed for decisive action. votes ended with four yeas and 22 yeas including Arr Wherry, Max Mayer and T. Chicago July 4 A circular argues Democrats cannot win without Populists and silver Republicans. It claims Teller could unite silver forces, estimates electoral power in twenty nine states west of the Mississippi and south of the Dakotas, and urges Populists and silver Democrats to co operate to elect a silver ticket.
The Colorado delegation on July 6 elected officers RW Shreer Adair Wilson C J Thomas and T J O'Donnell. They voted 5 to 3 to support Teller for president if his name is brought before the convention. if not presented the delegation backs Bland.
Sanitary Officer W E Stewart of the First ward resigned under pressure from Mayor Fellow who accused him of lacking administration support. Stewart says the mayor refused him in local party matters, leading to his removal after earlier suspensions. J T Howarth, aligned with the administration, was appointed in his place. Stewart had been twice released then rehired under prior administrations.

Senator John Martin and David Overmyer led Bland faction. Opponents accused Bland managers of arrangements. A substitute to vote for Bryan was rejected 19 to 6.
