Joliet January 26 A grievous accident at the Tilmole Steel company plant left Nelson Johnson decapitated while working in the red mill. He slipped from a high platform and his head struck the platform edge and the engine, severing his neck. His death was first noticed when his head fell among workers below with eyes moving and tongue in the mouth.

She was years old and lived with her brother at 3 East Third Street since the death of her husband last year. She leaves two children a boy and a girl.
