Bailey Wins Two In Jackson and Pratt Primaries

Pratt and Jackson counties backed Bailey decisively in yesterday's primaries. In Jackson county Bailey defeated Curtis for governor and Broderick for congress, while Thompson won the railroad commissioner post. Pratt county supported Bailey with a large majority, eliminating Walker in the race and shaping the party delegation for the convention. Jackson county also favored Broderick and Thompson, signaling potential shifts away from railroad influence and Curtis’s renomination chances. The results suggest gravity across counties for Bailey and a weakened Curtis campaign, with Atchison and additional counties leaning against him.
