Samuel Sproat Dead Veteran Groceryman Passes Away
Samuel Sproat proprietor of the Capital grocery died at his Topeka home on Monroe street yesterday afternoon after a five month illness from throat trouble. A 69 year old Pennsylvanian, he moved to Topeka 12 years ago, lived on a farm before entering the grocery business, and leaves five sons and a daughter. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 in the morning from his home.
