It manufactured bicycles firearms and sporting goods of many descriptions.
Oshkosh Wis residents report a soldier from Company B Third United States Infantry faced a military court in the Philippines on a serious charge and sentenced to death. President McKinley commuted the sentence to imprisonment for twenty years, sparing the life.
Attendees from the University of Kansas faculty and former students will gather after Dr. Jones lecture at tomorrow evening’s State Teachers association event. The reunion will be held in the High School auditorium, bringing together past and present educators for a social and commemorative program.

Birmingham Ala Dec. 26 It is stated on reliable authority that Lee Higgins Co of Boston has bought the East and West Alabama railway for the Kansas City Memphis and Birmingham railroad and will extend it into Birmingham The line runs from Cartarwelite Ga to Pell City Ala about 120 miles and the price is put at 1250000 The evasioned Airine is said to be behind the Kansas City road and will operate the line in conjunction with it

Thomas McElteak of Margadine MeKiteiee Dry Goods Co named trustee and assumed control. About 300 creditors are named. major coeditors are The Fourth National Bank of St Louis and The Commercial Exchange National Bank of New York.
The First M. E. church held Christmas exercises last evening with a crowded auditorium, balcony, and lecture room. White bunting and evergreens decorated the space, the organ displayed a tapestry, and gifts of oranges were given to Sunday school members. The pastor Rev. McFarland spoke after songs and recitations by children, with hearty applause. Visitors also received an orange as a welcome gift, and Dawes in Washington reported a one week extension for the opening of the bridge project.
