Odd Fellows lodge seeks return of temple on Quincy Street

Independent Order of Odd Fellows lodges in Topaka work to regain possession of the old Shawnee lodge temple at 533 Quincy Street. Built over 15 years ago for about 40 000 dollars, it raised 19000 in cash with a mortgage from a eastern lender. The mortgage foreclosed and the easterner now owns the property. Heirs seek cash from western estate assets and offer the building for 13000 dollars as a bargain.
