Death of J F H McKibben After Horse Accident
J F H McKibben auditor for the Atchison Topeka Santa Fe died in New Castle Colorado after a pack horse reared and fell on him. He suffered paralysis of the legs and died in Topeka en route with his body. He left a wife and six children and had ties to Mount Pleasant Iowa and Kansas City Missouri. The Office of Santa Fe residents in Wichita and Topeka prepared for his funeral with relatives notified across several states.
