Governor Robinson died at Lawrence at four o clock this morning after a brief illness. He had felt better last night, but the sudden downturn was listed as the immediate cause. He had long struggled with various illnesses.
Ex governor Charles Robinson, first chief executive under Kansas statehood, died at his Lawrence home at 4:00 am aged he survived by his wife. Funeral scheduled for Sunday at 4:30 PM. Robinson, a Democratic candidate for governor in 1909, had long been a farm retiree after reform politics and public service.
