Caldwell says he has heard rumors of trouble on the Santa Fe and will not consent to any controversy with the employes while the road is in the courts hands. Judge Johnson replies there is no truth to reports of a wage reduction.
Special master in chancery Judge J K Johnson returns from Arkansas City to hear nearly twenty strike cases where workers were ill during the road's restart. Caldwell of the U S circuit court questions actions on wages and contracts. Johnson reports no abrogation or wage cuts planned, and Caldwell seeks updates.
