G T Huffman found a solid gold watch on Kansas Avenue and later pawned it for 7.70 at Morrison's jewelry store before skipping town. Miss Mamie Callihan, niece of Pete Callihan, lost the watch returning from church. Huffman was brought to Topeka on a warrant for disposing of property not his own. he sent the pawn ticket to Sergeant Donovan and was captured in Herrington after an official action. Miss Callihan lives at 210 Crane Street.
