Managers Colonel Masey James Mien Cavanaugh's manager Charter Bennett and Bob Crate are referenced while awaiting a pending result.
Mayor Drew appoints A W Dana T F Doran L B Warner Charles Wolf Ed Mekeever Cla Fellows and L K Kiene to represent Topeka at the Transmississippi Commercial Congress in Wichita from May 31 to June 3. The Commercial club will name three more delegates, for a total of ten from Topeka.
Kansas City to St Joseph flee rising waters as land floods spread. Officials warn packers and manufacturers, tracks submerged, farms evacuated. Sioux City to St Joseph report further rises, with levees breached near Hambure and Burlington line flooded.
Four young people were struck by the Chicago & Northwestern fast mail at Crawford's crossing near Baraboo Wisconsin on April 22. Three were instantly killed: Barnie Tulibs, Kittie Marshall, Nellie Welch. Frank McDonald was injured as the party walked on the track, failing to notice the approaching train.
Judge S H Allen, recently retired associate justice of the Kansas Supreme Court, says he will not seek district judge honors in Linn Bourbon and Crawford counties. District Passenger Agent Drake announces that after May 14 Wichita will receive Rock Island passenger train service both ways on Sunday mornings. The change shifts the Kansas City night express No. 2 to depart Kansas City and arrive in Wichita at 5 19 a m. The new service adds a fast train between Ellaville and McFarland connecting with the southbound route, enabling Omaha arrivals about 9 a m.
